The QGPA is the University of Minnesota's Queer Graduate & Professional Student Association. Only a few years old, we are an energetic group of students dedicated to providing a sense of community on campus as well as a support network for queer graduate students. To meet this goal we facilitate discussions, host events, and connect students to the greater Twin Cities queer community. For more information visit <http://qgpa.qscc.org> or email qgpa@umn.edu.

2. Dykes Do Drag, Bryant-Lake Bowl, Saturday at 9:30pm

Come enjoy some gender-bending entertainment with the lovely ladies and gents of the QGPA as we butch it up with cross dressing lesbians and a fun loving crowd. A good time for everyone. We'll be meeting up at 8:30pm at Vera's in Uptown, and walking from there to the Bryant Lake Bowl. Contact QGPA (qgpa@umn.edu) with all comments, requests, or questions.

3. Brokeback Mountain, Lagoon Theater, Sunday at 2:00pm

If you can make it after your rocking Saturday evening, join us this Sunday at the Lagoon Theater in Uptown for Brokeback Mountain, a story of desire and denial between two Wyoming men across the years, directed by Ang Lee, starring Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhal. Showtime is 2pm, we'll meet in the lobby at 1:45. Where else will you get to see gay cowboys eating pudding? Contact QGPA (qgpa@umn.edu) with all comments, requests, or questions.

4. Plans for Winter Break

If you have plans for parties or events you want to share over winter break, drop us a line at qgpa@umn.edu, and we'll send it out. We'll be here to help spread a little holiday cheer.

**

QGPA is University of Minnesota's Queer Graduate & Professional Student Association. We're here to provide a community and support network for queer graduate students by facilitating discussions, hosting events, and connecting with the greater twin cities queer community.

QGPA is relatively new and we are trying to build an engaged community. Please forward this email along to your friends and colleagues to help us reach out to as many graduate students as possible. We would also like your input. If you have any questions, comments or ideas, please contact your facilitators at qgpa@umn.edu. We are open to new energy and ideas.

Together we can make this a meaningful and active group and create change for queer students at the U of M!
